The law of the Farm
When you think of the word 'law', you probably think of rules and regulations.
Laws are generally man-made, but did you know that there are natural laws too? These laws are not created by man but actually by nature.
The 'Law of the Farm' is one of these laws. Do you think it is possible for a farmer to plant a crop one day and expect to harvest it the next? Of course not!
It will take weeks, months, and many different steps to produce a great crop.
The laws of nature are in control here.
So what does the Law of the Farm have to do with study?
We can apply the Law of the Farm to study. Very few people are lucky enough to be able to study for an exam the night before and achieve top marks. Completing a school project is very hard to do without research, writing a draft, editing, rewriting, and logically putting it all together. You have to invest time and effort into your study if you want to reap the rewards.
*Special Note*
The term 'Law of the Farm' was couched by famous author and businessman Stephen R. Covey. He has written several books on the subject of effective time management and effective planning, including 'First Things First' and 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People'. He also has a great book 'Seven Habits for Highly Effective Teenagers' that would be a great book for you if you want to succeed not only in school, but also in life!
