Knowing how to stay safe online is something that all internet users need to be aware of regardless of their age. Online safety is an issue that is much about ethics as it is safety - how do we ensure that we act appropriately and ethically online and keep ourselves safe from those who would act unethically towards us? This issue is a "minefield" that requires you, as an internet user, to navigate carefully. We are not trying to scare you but it is VERY IMPORTANT that you are informed of the negative aspects of being online as well as the best strategies you can adopt to become a responsible (and safe) internet user.
